TRAMA : Nella prospera città Golden City, in un non meglio precisato Medio Oriente, l'umile calzolaio Tack si trova a venire alle mani con un ladro entrato nella sua bottega e finisce addosso al Gran Visir Zig-Zag, che ne ordina l'arresto (mentre il ladro riesce a fuggire). Tack viene condannato a morte, ma la giovane principessa Yum-Yum si impietosisce di lui e lo salva momentaneamente ordinando che sia lui a ripararle le scarpe. Tra i due scocca la scintilla, ma il ladro ha in mente un progetto molto ambizioso: rubare le sfere dorate che proteggono la città dall'alto di un imponente minareto. Inizia così un turbinio di avventure che vedranno Tack e Yum-Yum alle prese con i nemici del regno.
